Itinerary - Leaving from Catania
1st Day: Catania/Eastern Sicily
In the afternoon we arrive to Catania and free transfer to the
hotel in Catania or Giardini Naxos or Letojanni. Accommodation
in private rooms, dinner and overnight.
2nd Day: Eastern Sicily
Half board in hotel. Full day excursion to Siracusa, which is
the most beautiful and greatest Greek city in Sicily. We will
visit the famous Fontana di Aratusa, the Greek theatre and the
Roman amphitheater, the Orecchio di Dionisio, and the Latomie.
Lunch in the restaurant during the excursion.
3rd Day: Eastern Sicily
Breakfast in hotel. Full day excursion to the volcano of Mount
Etna, and then to Taormina. The excursion of Mount Etna will
foresee the ascent up to a height of 1,800 m. Lunch in restaurant
during the excursion. In the afternoon we will visit the lovely
city of Taormina where we will visit the Greek Theatre. After
Taormina we will proceed to Messina. Accommodation at hotel,
dinner and overnight.
4th Day: Eastern Sicily
Breakfast in hotel. In the morning we will do a panoramic tour
of Messina visiting the main monument; the Duomo with its bell
tower. We will then continue on to Tindari, the archaeological
city, visiting the Greek theatre and the Sanctuary of the "Black
Madonna", and then continuing on to Cefalu along the Tyrrhenian
coast. Lunch in the restaurant during the excursion. Arrival
in Palermo, where we will check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
5th Day: Palermo
Breakfast in the hotel. End of tour.
