About Enna
The province of Enna comprises
twenty cities and covers an area of 2,562.13 square kilometres.
As much as other Sicilian provinces, this is one of great historical,
artistic and cultural interest that resulted, notably in the
last decades, in a considerable tourism development. Much renowned
are the events taking place during Easter Week, which attest
to the city's abiding Christian faith. The province boasts a
renowned cuisine with various traditional delicious dishes. With
plenty of churches, a cathedral, castle and museum, Enna has
much to offer the visitor. The axis of the town is charted by
"Via Roma" which starts near the Castello di Lombardia
and, after a sharp turn, leads down to the Torre di Federico.
Most of the monuments and points of interest are to be found
along this main thoroughfare.
